- 200 YEARS BÜCHNER. Interesting new project from Germany:
PEACE for those living in huts, WAR for those living in palaces!
Friede den Hütten, Krieg den Palasten! is a sentence from the revolutionary pamphlet by the writer Georg Büchner and the priest Friedrich Weidig from 1834.
In 2013 it will be the 200th anniversary of Büchner (1813-1837).
He wrote also
Danton's death and
Woyzeck.
A German mail art project invites you to create art around this anniversary.

Charleroi is a major industrial town in the Walloon (French) part of Belgium. I should correct this and change the "is" in "was". It's an industrial graveyard in fact, with high unemployment and huge crime statistics. Okay, not everything is bad but compared to other cities in Belgium it's quite nightmarish (my comments, GV)
